Being unimpressed with most options for body oils on the market today (we'll get into why later), Néctar was born as the second beautiful addition to our collection of skin elixirs at Earth Archive. Organic cold-pressed oils are infused with whole plant material for a full lunar cycle to capture the full spectrum of nutrients and phytochemicals that each herb has to offer, resulting in a beautiful, bioavailable skin elixir of healing plant alkaloids.

One of the most unique aspects of Néctar is that it is an herbal body oil that utilizes the ancient practice of extracting whole plant material into our base oil blend. Unlike many body oils that are simply a blend of base oils, or rely on single-compound extracts or isolated essential oils, Néctar captures the full-spectrum of healing components that each plant medicine has to offer. This means the complete range of nutrients, antioxidants, and phytochemicals within each herb is preserved through allowing the whole herb, flower, and plant material to extract in our oil blend for a full lunar cycle, resulting in a more holistic, bioavailable elixir for your skin and nervous system. Additionally, we embrace an extraction process that goes beyond simply soaking our herbs in oil for an even more potent blend.

DEEP HYDRATION + SKIN NOURISHMENT
Our skin is the physical barrier that marks a boundary between our internal world and the environments that we interact with. Its protective barrier can often become compromised by pollution, harsh weather, the foods and water we consume, and even emotional stress. When this happens, the skin's natural moisture levels can plummet, leading to dryness, irritation, and premature aging.
Enter: body oiling. An ancient practice proven to both lock in moisture, nourish our tissue and provide a lipid barrier that protects the skin from environmental stressors. Through massaging nourishing oils into the skin, you’re not just providing surface-level hydration—you’re also helping to restore balance at a deeper level, supporting the skin’s natural function and elasticity. This is essential for maintaining skin that radiates with health from within.
We've formulated Néctar with organic & wild harvested, cold-pressed oils that are rich in fatty acids to restore the lipid barrier, replenish moisture and lock in hydration, while simultaneously soothing any dryness or inflammation. HERBAL BODY OILING + THE NERVOUS SYSTEM
Directly beneath the skin lie millions of nerve endings that are in constant communication with our surrounding environment. When the skin is dry, cold & brittle, so are those nerve endings. When we nourish the skin with herbal oils, communication is facilitated to the nerve endings to promote a deeper state of relaxation and promote the body's intrinsic ability to heal.
Herbal oils restore the skin's lipid barrier, providing nourishment that extends beyond the surface layers. The medicinal qualities of each herb in the blend are able to penetrate deeply through the skin, to the nerve endings, and are made readily bioavailable through the medium of oil. Herbal body oiling signals to the nervous system that we may relax, ultimately leading to a more harmonious state of internal safety.
The herbs used in Néctar are each intentionally selected for both their topical benefits as well as their calming effects on the body & mind. For instance, Blue Lotus contains the ability to attract moisture, calm inflammation and redness for the skin, while its energetic qualities promote deepening spiritual connections, promoting a state of restfulness and intuitive insight. Mugwort, with its rich herbal medicine, supports emotional balance by soothing the nervous system, reducing stress, and balancing hormones.

For optimal absorption, apply Néctar after a bath or shower while your skin is still damp. You can also warm the oil slightly in a small glass dish for an enhanced ritual experience.

Coconut Oil: Rich in fatty acids, deeply hydrates the skin while providing antimicrobial properties that help protect and nourish the skin’s natural barrier. UV resistant against oxidative damage.
Cacay Oil: One of the best natural retinol sources. Rich in fatty acids that reduce the appearance of fine lines and improves skin elasticity. Rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9 and vitamins A & E. Firms & softens. Restores skin’s protective lipid barrier.
Kukui Oil: Sourced from the tropical kukui nut, rich in essential fatty acids and antioxidants, offering intense hydration and helping to restore elasticity to the skin. It is particularly effective for dry or irritated skin, soothing and protecting against environmental stressors.
Hibiscus Oil: Highly anti-aging / youth promoting, increases cellular turnover and helps to firm, tone, and smooth the skin for a youthful glow.
Olive Oil: Rich in vitamins and antioxidants, nourishes and hydrates the skin while protecting against environmental damage. Soothing and is wonderful for sensitive or dry skin, helps to improve skin elasticity. Sourced directly from our founder's family farm!
Papaya Oil: Rich in enzymes, vitamins, and fatty acids to nourish the skin. Supports the skin’s natural healing processes, brightens the complexion, and improves skin texture, promoting a healthy, glowing appearance.

Calendula: Deeply nourishing to dry and dehydrated skin, Calendula is renowned for its qualities to soothe skin inflammation, including eczema, dermatitis, and burns.
Rose: With the highest vibrational frequency of any flower, rose brings us in deeper resonance with Love for all beings. Oil infused with rose petals is antioxidant rich, locks in hydration, and contains regenerative qualities for skin healing. Rose uplifts the mood, calms the mind, and promotes a more harmonious state of being.
Blue Lotus: A beautiful mergence of physical & energetic medicine for the skin and spirit. Blue Lotus oil is often noted for its naturally occurring compounds that can mimic hyaluronic acid, in that it can attract moisture and support the skin by locking in hydration. It also is rich in antioxidants, supports the skin barrier, and calms inflammation or redness. Blue Lotus is connected to deepening one's spiritual connections, intuition, psychic states, and has a calming affect on the nervous system.
Mugwort: A potent medicinal oil with an affinity to calm the nerves, soothe tired muscles, increase circulation and support feminine reproductive health. Mugwort offers energetic & spiritual protection, can assist in connection to one's intuition, and enhances lucid dreaming & dream recall.
Schisandra: Incredibly antioxidant rich, Schisandra possesses youth promoting, regenerative qualities for the skin. Adaptogenic in nature, Schisandra promotes balance within and supports our innate ability to adapt to stress.
Signature blend of essential oils: Néctar features a grounding blend of essential oils including Palo Santo, Vetiver, Ylang Ylang and Hinoki for a calming aroma to ease strees and enhance emotional well-being through aromatherapy. Each essential oil brings unique qualities—Palo Santo for purification, Vetiver for grounding, Ylang Ylang for balancing, and Hinoki for tranquility—creating an aromatic experience that nurtures both skin and spirit.
