TROPICAL SKINCARE + EQUATORIAL PLANTS + THE SUN
We are absolute sun lovers at Earth Archive. Something to keep in mind if you are out in the sun is how the oils you are using interact with sunlight and heat. We were incredibly conscious in our formulation process of creating an oil that both combats oxidation of oils when exposed to the sun, as well as protects, nourishes and hydrates the skin. Tropical oils that originate from plants grown near the equator, which are the focus of our formulation, offer remarkable benefits for skincare, particularly in relation to sun exposure and protection against oxidation. These oils maintain their stability and potency in sunlight, unlike many other oils that can oxidize and degrade when exposed to UV rays. These oils, such as Buriti and Acai, thrive in intense sunlight and are naturally rich in antioxidants, essential fatty acids, and vitamins that fortify the skin's defenses. The high levels of carotenoids found in Buriti oil provide natural photoprotection, helping to shield the skin from harmful UV rays while preventing damage caused by oxidative stress. Jojoba Oil: Mimics the skin's natural sebum, providing hydration without clogging pores. Balances oil production, making it an ideal oil for all skin types, including oily and acne prone skin.
Cacay Oil: One of the best natural retinol sources. Rich in fatty acids that reduce the appearance of fine lines and improves skin elasticity. Rich in Omegas 3, 6 and 9 and vitamins A & E. Firms & softens. Restores skin’s protective lipid barrier.
Plum Oil: Packed with antioxidants and vitamins. Soothes and hydrates the skin while helping to maintain a youthful appearance by promoting even skin tone.
